A statement brooch with both colour and texture. A main disc is enamelled with vitreous enamel in matt black with a grain texture. The disc is set into a silver frame that has a subtle textured surface on the rear of the brooch, echoing the pattern of the shapes on the front. A collection of smaller discs are layered on top of the main black disc. Each smaller shape is either enamelled in a shade of green or yellow or has a layer of 24ct gold foil fused to the surface in a technique know as Keeumbo.
The brooch has a double pin, made from stainless steel, that distributes the weight of the piece so it doesn’t pull on clothing.
A striking piece with many details to feast the eye upon and adorn a range of outfits. Hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office, the brooch comes packaged in a Miranda Sharpe Jewellery box.
